Yesterday, 17th December, 2024, we Celebrated the Parish Christmas/End of the year Party.
This year’s Christmas party was a truly special and memorable occasion for our parish. The day was graced by the visit of our beloved Bishop, Bishop Callistus Chukwuma Valentine Onaga whose presence brought joy and inspiration to all. His visit marked the beginning of our celebrations, as he came to bless and officially open our new Youth Empowerment Centre, a project built in his honor.
The Youth Empowerment Centre stands as a testament to faith, determination, and unity within our parish community. The journey to its completion was far from easy—it was filled with challenges that tested our resolve. But through prayer, hard work, and unwavering support from our parishioners, we successfully launched this building. The Centre symbolizes hope and growth, which will offer our young people the resources and opportunities to build a brighter future.
The Bishop’s blessing was a moment of deep spiritual significance, reminding us of God’s grace in making this dream a reality. He spoke words of encouragement, emphasizing the importance of empowering our youth with extra skills and fostering their potential.
After the inauguration, the festivities began in full swing. The parish hall came alive with entertainment, music, laughter, and the spirit of Christmas. Children performed nativity plays, dances and all what’s not and families enjoyed moments of fellowship and joy.
As we reflect on this joyous occasion, we are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas—a time of giving, unity, and celebrating the birth of Christ. The opening of the Youth Empowerment Centre is a gift to our community, and it embodies the love and dedication of everyone who made it possible.
May this Christmas season inspire us all to continue working together for the good of our parish and our youth. With hearts full of gratitude, we look forward to the many blessings this new Centre will bring to our community.
Merry Christmas to all, and may God bless you abundantly!
